so tonight i went to the harvest crusade at angels stadium in anaheim. it's pretty much like the billy graham crusades of years past, but with cooler bands, and solid a/v technology.
a great band called leeland played first tonight, and i was literally moved almost to tears by the music itself, the vibe from the crowd, and hearing a stadium full of voices singing to God. i was definitely feeling verklempt, and almost had to ask the people around me to talk amongst themselves.
southtown's own P.O.D. also played. a friend of mine works with marcos (the guitar player), so i got to meet him and hang out "backstage." i also got to talk super-briefly to wuv (the drummer) so that was totally cool. sunny and traa were hanging out too, but i never did get officially introduced.
the green room for the show was actually the visiting teams' locker room, so it was totally dope to be able to hang out in there. we also got to watch the show from the bench in the visitors dugout. so i got to be a rockstar and a major-league baseball player all in the same night. super-ultra dope.
